Queensland Horses dominate 1.40m TDSJC State Title Grand Prix.
The Toowoomba main arena was certainly not at its best but Sunday saw an improvement from the very slippery surface which tested horse & rider alike on Friday.
Thirty horses from four states started in the first round. David Shepherd from Victoria built a testing 1.40 plus track which saw ten horses jump clean, seven of which were Queensland horses.
The very well presented Warrego Sandon & Robert Goodwin jumped a slick round in 43.85 sec giving them a super win & the $800 cheque.
There was just a second dividing the next three placings with Victorian Brook Dobbin & the Qld bred Advisor in 2nd in a time of 44.67 sec, Its Ritchie & Robert Moffatt 45.41 sec third & 4th Dark Ages & Clem Smith 45.68 sec.
The 2008 & 2009 GP HOY Dark Ages still leads the series now with 42 points and Cheezy Z still in second now on 34 points.
Round is next weeks Toowoomba World Cup and remember the next three World Cup rounds are worth double points.
